Cancerbane is a mythical creature in Greek legends. It is commonly portrayed as a multi-headed canine protecting the gates of the underworld. According to some legends, Cancerbero has three heads, while in others it can have as many as nine heads. The word "cancerbero" is also used to refer to a watchful and unyielding protector.
